About the program
You will make friends for life in this tight-knit Social Work program based in a modern, landmark building at University of Windsor just steps from the waterfront. You’ll have lots of opportunities for hands-on learning including placements in year 4, joining clubs, and volunteering in the community.
What will I learn?
- Understand human behaviour, communication, and interaction as shaped by social/cultural contexts
- Assess, evaluate, and understand individual, family and group behaviours
- Appreciate contemporary social, community and ethical issues and related public policy
- Implement and understand social work interventions for individuals, families, and other groups
- Critically understand the histories, functions and limitations of important social welfare policies
